When I read the book “The Richest Man Who Ever Lived", the most significant concept that I had seldom thought about was the meanings of “Diligence" in Bible.

Steven K. Scott gave this statement: “DILIGENCE is a learnable skill that combines: creative persistence, a smart-working effort rightly planned and rightly performed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner to attain a result that is pure and of the highest quality of excellence."

Solomon’s Concept of Diligence is not what we think. “Hard-working" is not the most accurate term. That should be “Smart-working".

Proverbs 20:11 “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure and whether it be right" The key words are “pure" and “right".

Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage""殷勤籌劃的、足致豐 裕.行事急躁的、都必缺乏。"

Proverbs 12:24 “The hand of the ready worker will have authority, but he who is slow in his work will be put to forced work."

Proverbs 14:23 “In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty"
